Terms of service

These terms apply to merchants who install Mint Sold Out to Bottom ("the app"), made by Mint Labs ("we", "us"). By installing or using the app you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.

The service

The app changes the order of products inside the Shopify collections you choose so that products that can't be bought come after the available ones, and keeps that order up to date when stock changes. For a collection that had an automatic sort (for example Best selling), the app switches the collection's sort to Manual, because Shopify only lets apps place products in manually sorted collections, and uses the original sort as the order of the available products. With the optional hiding setting, the app takes sold-out products off the Online Store sales channel and puts them back when they can be bought again. We may improve or change features; we will not remove a paid feature you rely on without notice.

Restoring your collections

Before it changes a collection the app saves the collection's product order and sort setting. When you remove a collection or turn the app off, the app puts both back (a manually sorted collection gets your own order back, including changes you made while the app ran). This needs the app's access to your store: Shopify removes it the moment the app is uninstalled, so turn the app off before you uninstall it. If you change a collection's sort in Shopify while the app sorts it, the app stops sorting that collection and leaves your new sort in place.

Timing

Changes follow stock changes within minutes, not instantly; larger collections are re-checked less often to stay within Shopify's rate limits. Shoppers who choose another sort in your theme's sort menu see Shopify's order for that sort.

Plans and billing

Plans are chosen on Shopify's plan page and billed by Shopify every 30 days in USD after the free trial, under Shopify's terms. You can change or cancel your plan there at any time, or uninstall the app; a move to the free plan takes effect at the end of the billing cycle already paid for. On the free plan, collections beyond its limit are restored to their original order.

Availability and liability

We work to keep the app available, accurate and secure, but it is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid for the app in the 3 months before a claim.

Data processing addendum

The app doesn't process personal data of your customers or shoppers. To the extent it processes any personal data on your behalf (for example, your own contact details as the store owner), you are the controller and we are the processor. We will:

  • process data only to provide the app's features, following your instructions given through the app's settings;
  • process only the minimum needed: store and collection identifiers, product IDs, settings and the app's activity log;
  • never sell data, use it for advertising or to train AI models;
  • keep data confidential and limit access to authorised personnel;
  • encrypt it in transit (HTTPS) and at rest (Cloudflare D1 encryption at rest);
  • use Cloudflare (hosting and database) and Shopify as our only sub-processors;
  • delete all shop data 48 hours after uninstall (shop redaction) and activity older than 30 days;
  • notify you without undue delay of any personal data breach.

Changes

We will post changes to these terms here and update the date above. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
