Mint Sold Out to Bottom is a Shopify app made by Mint Labs ("we", "us"). It keeps sold-out products at the end of the collections a merchant chooses, by changing the product order inside those collections through Shopify's Admin API. This policy explains what the app handles, why, and when it's deleted.
The short version
- The app handles no personal data about shoppers or customers: no names, emails, addresses, orders or IP addresses are read or stored.
- It stores the merchant's settings, the IDs of the collections and products it sorts, each collection's original order and sort setting (so it can restore them), and an activity log with collection titles.
- Everything about a store is deleted 48 hours after the app is uninstalled (when Shopify sends the shop redaction request).
- We never sell or share data, use it for advertising, or combine it across stores.
Information about merchants and their stores
| Information | Why | Kept |
|---|---|---|
| Store domain and a Shopify access token | To read and reorder the chosen collections in the background when stock changes. | Token deleted at uninstall |
| Settings (on/off, tag rules, all collections, hiding sold-out products) | To sort the way the merchant set it up. | Until 48 h after uninstall |
| Collection IDs and titles, the sort setting each had before the app, and product ID lists (original positions, the merchant's own order, the order the app last set, products at the end) | To keep the merchant's order, put returning products back in their place, and restore every collection exactly. | Until the collection is restored, or 48 h after uninstall |
| IDs of products the app took off the Online Store (only with the optional hiding setting) | So only those products are ever put back. | Until the product is shown again, or 48 h after uninstall |
| Webhook events: IDs of products and inventory items whose stock changed | To know which collections to re-sort. | Minutes (deleted once processed) |
| Activity log (what the app changed, with collection titles) | Shown to the merchant in the app. | 30 days |
| Plan status (plan handle, trial and billing cycle dates, the store's Shopify ID) | Read from Shopify to decide which features apply. Plans are chosen on Shopify's plan page and billed by Shopify. | Until 48 h after uninstall |
What the app reads from Shopify
Collections (title, handle, sort setting, product count), and for the products in the chosen collections: their IDs, tags, inventory totals and whether each variant is available for sale. With the optional hiding setting, whether a product is published to the Online Store. Product IDs and the order are stored; tags and inventory numbers are only used while sorting and not kept.
Shoppers and customers
The app doesn't add anything to the storefront and doesn't receive any information about shoppers or customers. It has no access to orders or customer records. The privacy webhooks for customer data requests and erasure are answered, and there is never anything to return or erase.
Where data is processed
The app runs on Cloudflare (Workers and the D1 database, encrypted at rest). Shopify is the source of the store data. Those are our only sub-processors.
Your choices
- Remove a collection, or turn the app off in Settings: the app restores the order and sort and deletes what it stored for those collections.
- Uninstall the app: the access token is deleted at once, and everything else 48 hours later.
